Felicia Houston truly believes in this statement; her passion is inspiring and empowering people to make self-care a priority. Through dynamic workshops and presentations, Felicia educates her audiences about mental health, wellness, self-care and Stress Less Living. With more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field, a BA in Psychology and a MA in Human Development Counseling from Bradley University in Peoria Illinois, Felicia currently serves as the Director of Behavioral Health at Mercy Hospital in Chicago and the Community Development Liaison for the Dept. of Psychiatry at UChicago Medicine at Ingalls Hospital.
Felicia is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and a Consumer Wellness Advocate (CWA). She is a speaker, Mental Health Consultant, Facilitator, Moderator, and Author. Felicia also believes in the value of volunteerism. She serves within several community and national organizations, including Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (Co-Chair Resource & Development), Top Ladies of Distinction (TLOD) Health & Wellness Chair, Professional Women’s Network (PWN) Immediate Past President, South Holland Business Association (SHBA) Marketing Chair, Chicago Women’s Conference Advisory BoardMember, Mental Health Conference (Committee Member), Board member for South Holland School District 150, and Board Trustee for South Holland Library.
Felicia Houston resides in the south suburbs of Chicago with her husband Chris and their 2 children.
